Financial Support

The Middle Eastern Texts Initiative (METI) and its various initiatives and efforts are part of Brigham Young University's ongoing research programs. While the University funds its basic staff and essential functions, METI depends on your generosity to support its projects. Donations receive appropriate tax advantages that come from contributing to a qualified public charity.

Donors
Generous donations in support of these series of publications have come from many sources. Prominent among them are the Ashton Family Foundation of Orem, Utah, and James L. and Beverley Sorenson of Salt Lake City, Utah. METI gratefully acknowledges Brigham Young University's continued support in the form of physical facilities and personnel.

There are several ways to help financially:

Outright Donations
Cash
Securities
Real Estate

Life Income Charitable Trusts
These trusts provide the donors with a lifetime income while also making a deferred gift to METI. Donors also avoid capital gains tax on the sale of property that is donated to a charitable trust.

Testamentary Gifts
Many donors choose to make a bequest to METI through their will or trust. For more information or to talk about how you might help, call 1-800-327-6715 and ask for the development director, Ed Snow.
